Are you worth it?

I used to think worth was proven.

Through loyalty. Through sacrifice. Through staying when I should’ve walked away.

But lately, I’ve learned worth doesn’t beg to be seen. It shows up and stands tall, whether people clap or not.

See, too many of us confuse being needed with being valued.

And baby, they are not the same thing.

Needing me means I fill a gap.

Valuing me means you recognize the gold that I am.

So I started asking different questions.

Not, “Do they love me?”

But, “Do they respect me?”

Not, “Do they see what I do for them?”

But, “Do they pour into me like I pour out for them?”

Because worth is not up for negotiation it’s a birthright.

God didn’t make you to be tolerated.

He made you to be treasured.

Now I walk in rooms softer, but stronger.

I speak less, but mean more.

I no longer audition for spaces that don’t know how to handle light because mine shines regardless.

And if that light ever makes someone uncomfortable?

That’s their eyes adjusting to the glow. Not my problem.

So here’s your Sunday reminder:

You don’t have to prove your worth.

Just protect it.
